We proudly congratulate Edson Marambire, Study Coordinator for ERASE TB, on successfully earning his PhD from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. This remarkable achievement marks an important milestone in his academic journey and strengthens the global effort to end tuberculosis.
Dr. Marambire’s doctoral research, “Predictors and Dynamics of Household Mycobacterium tuberculosis Transmission in High TB-Incidence Settings,” advances understanding of how TB spreads within households — environments that remain central to ongoing transmission in high-burden settings. His work highlights the complexity of infection risk and the importance of developing improved tools and strategies to better identify those most vulnerable.
This accomplishment not only recognizes his dedication and expertise but also reinforces the importance of building research capacity within high TB-incidence regions.
Congratulations, Dr. Marambire, on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to your continued leadership and contributions toward a TB-free future.
